"Shelter" is a 2016 single by American music producer Porter Robinson and French music producer Madeon. It was released on 11 August 2016 and was accompanied by a collaborative live show tour.

Background

“	The base of Shelter came together really naturally and kind of easily. Completing it was a lot harder for us because we're so prone to analysis and definitely perfectionists.	”

After the release of Adventure in 2015, Madeon and Robinson began discussing a possible collaboration, though it took them some time to meet and spend time together in the studio. The former also stated during an interview with Daily Beat in 2017 that "at first, [he and Porter] started writing 'Shelter' with an attitude of being a little abstract about it".

Music video

An animated music video for the song was premiered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan and released onto YouTube on 18 October 2016. Though Madeon has stated that it was "entirely Porter's project", he also said he was "very excited" about watching it.
